The 2023 Compass Rose Culture Prize goes to Suoma Sámi Nuorat – Finnish Sámi Youth for its work in supporting young Sámi people’s cultural identity and the Sámi languages

Finnish Sámi Youth is a non-profit cultural advocacy organisation founded in 1991. It is active all over Finland, supporting young Sámi in their cultural identity and language. The organisation also campaigns to defend the Sámi people’s linguistic and cultural rights that are enshrined in the Finnish Constitution.

The Otto A. Malmi Foundation decided, at its board meeting on the 2nd of March 2022, to donate EUR 50,000 to the Finnish Red Cross's disaster relief fund to help victims of the Ukrainian crisis.

Donation to UNICEF for Syrian children

Otto A. Malm Foundation has responded to a call from the Eva Ahlströms Foundation on a joint donation to UNICEF for Syrian children in Syria and in neighboring countries. Otto A. Malms contribution is 50 000. A total of six participating foundations whose total amount is EUR 135 000.UNICEF provides children and families with, access to clean drinking water and sanitation products, and health care and also strive to give children the opportunity to attend schools.
