The Malm Hospital in Jakobstad

Purpose

The Foundation supports higher education, institutions or projects serving the common good, and scientific research, by granting stipends to individuals, work groups or organisations. Foreign citizens are also eligible.

In even-numbered years (e.g. 2022, 2024, 2026 etc.) the stipends are granted for scientific research, in odd-numbered years (e.g. 2023 2025, 2027 etc.) for higher education and the common good.

General instructions for 2023

In 2023, a total sum of €1 million will be granted to individuals, work groups, organisations pr networks for ”folkbildning” (popular adult education), culture and common good. The awarded grant size is approximately 3 000 €. Grants for the year 2023 will not, as a rule, be awarded for scientific research projects, such as doctoral thesis work.

The application period begins on 1st April and ends 30th April, 2023.
Applications including all appendices (a short project plan, project budget, CV) are submitted electronically via this web service (- Application).
A list of the stipends granted will be published on the Foundation’s web page on July 1st, 2023. Recipients will be informed by e-mail. No advance information on the funding decisions will be given.
