The Malm Hospital in Jakobstad


The Foundation supports higher education, institutions or projects serving the common good, and scientific research, by granting stipends to individuals, work groups or organisations. Foreign citizens are also eligible.

Every second year (even-numbered years, e.g. 2020, 2022, 2024 etc.) the stipends are granted for scientific research, every second year (odd-numbered years, e.g. 2021, 2023, 2025, etc.) for higher education, culture and the common good.

General instructions for 2021

In 2021, a total sum of 800 000 euros will be granted to individuals, work groups, organisations or networks for ”folkbildning” (popular adult education), culture and common good.This time, we especially encourage applications with the aim of providing a fresh start for cultural experiences and civic activities after the pandemic era. Scientific research will not be funded this year.

The application period begins on 1st April and ends 30th April, 2021.

Applications including all appendices (a short project plan, project budget, CV) are submitted electronically via this web service (- Application).
A list of the stipends granted will be published on the Foundation’s web page on July 1st, 2021. Recipients will be informed by e-mail. No advance information on the funding decisions will be given.
